Bid Coordinator

Our client, a well-established privately owned construction company, based in West Kent, have a requirement for a Bid Coordinator, to oversee their bids and tender process, helping to ensure the future health and vibrancy of the company. 

Working as part of the Pre-Construction team you will be responsible for co-ordinating the bid process from initial receipt and support the generation of competitive tender submissions. 
 
Responsibilities to include:
•Daily management of all web portals.
•Regular checking of notice boards and online sources for OJEU notifications.
•Extracting the key bid requirements from the documentation received and communicating with relevant parties.
•Sending out bid documents to Directors and other senior stakeholders for approval before submission.
•Co-ordinating and proof reading technical input from a variety of stakeholders.
•Arranging and co-ordinating site visits, tender interviews, kick off and finalisation meetings ensuring the appropriate personnel are involved.
•Co-ordinating the response material and ensuring the submission puts forward the best possible qualitative response in terms of completeness, appropriateness and demonstrates the best added value options to the client.
•Ensuring that deadlines are met as well as managing graphic design and visual presentation of hard copy and digital versions of the response documents.
•Arranging for the timely delivery of tenders as required by the client.
•Management of follow ups with clients to secure accurate feedback.
•Maintaining library of photographs, case studies, CV and method statements.

Skills and experience:
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent attention to detail.
•Good organisational skills.
•Experience of co-ordinating a bid process.
•Experience of writing bid submissions.
•Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
•Team focused approach with a positive attitude.
•Excellent working knowledge of the Adobe Suite, particularly InDesign (essential).

Lastly you will likely be Degree qualified, preferably in a construction related subject and applicants with experience of working in the construction industry and with experience of working within an ISO accredited environment will have a distinct advantage.

The role is Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.
